Once a year each May, the Jewish Community Center (JCC) holds The Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts (LINK: www.jccindy.org). As a much celebration of the written word as well as a toast to the arts in Indy, I was proud to be a part of this year’s festival.
In honor of the 2013 JCC book selection, Precious Objects, an insider’s account of the elusive diamond industry, (Alicia Oltuski) I donated a set of three precious objects from the Aronstam Fine Jewelers collection. Alicia Oltuski’s book provides a concise history of the beginning of the diamond industry along with an inside perspective regarding the goings on in this relatively insular business.
This beautiful three-ring 14k white gold and sterling bridal or anniversary set was valued at $2,000, containing 30 matched diamonds. A beautiful set, creating lots of excitement and raising more funds than expected. Congrats to ring winner David Gabovitch! Most beautiful of all, the raffle helped the JCC provide wonderful arts and reading programs throughout the year.
I hope you’ll join me again this fall and support The Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts at the Jewish Community Center. I’ll see you there!
